The Venue: Top of the Gate – The Watergate Hotel
Top of the Gate is renowned for its panoramic views of the Potomac River and DC skyline, offering a glamourous and dramatic setting that was perfect for a proposal. The private rooftop provided an exclusive space in the open-air space terrace for celebrants of the couple to witness the moment in style.
The Proposal Design Setup: Lush and Romantic
The proposal was designed with a striking red theme, creating a super romantic atmosphere. At the heart of the setup was a 7-foot red floral arch, which framed the proposal spot and created a dramatic focal point against the backdrop of the city and the Potomac River.
A red runner, decorated with real red rose petals, led to the floral arch, creating a picturesque pathway to the proposal spot. Flanking the runner were four exquisite red floral arrangements. Two arrangements were positioned on the ground at the start of the runner, marking the beginning of the proposal pathway. The other two arrangements were displayed on white and gold pedestals, adding a touch of class and complementing the rich red tones of the setup.
To complete the design, two 4-foot tall candelabras stood tall and contributed to the warm and intimate atmosphere.
